It was conducted with the high degree of sincerity and enthusiasm. The Investiture ceremony denotes investment in being leaders and the trust and confidence we repose in newly invested office bearers for the involvement of the students’ community in day today functioning of the school, since we believe in child centric approach. The ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusto. It was initiated with the prayer song; Followed by lighting of the lamp which signifies removal of darkness and continuous upward movement of the flames denotes the path wisdom and divinity. The gathering was warmly welcomed byMrs.Jayalakshmi the vice principal The presidential address was given by Rev.Fr.Sebastian Elanjickal CMI, the Principal. His inspiring words encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible. Rev Fr. Isaac P.J, the Principal of Mary Matha College, Periyakulam was our chief guest. He congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members for their preparedness to take responsibilities and cautioned them against allowing such responsibilities hinder their academics. He wished well to all the members of the school cabinet. The Head Boy, Head Girl, General Captain, Vice-captain, Presidents and Vice-Presidents of Forumsreceived their sashes from the Chief Guest. Followed by the Junior Head boy, Head Girl, House captains, Vice captains, Secretaries and Joint Secretaries of Clubs who received their sashes from Rev.Fr. Principal of the School. Our newly elected student counciltook an oath in front of the whole school to be true to their posts and duties assigned to them. On behalf of the previous Council, Tanaaz Khan expressed gratitude for the support given to them and the team in the past year and wished the new leaders. The newly elected Head Girl Sneha Gonzaga proposed the Vote of thanks and concluded the ceremony.
Training for the teachers on Cursive Writing was conducted on 13th and 14th of the month of May 2016. Mr. Sivasankar Consulting executive and Mr. Shajoth kumar Trainer from LANCHESTTER ACADEMY PVT. LIMITED, Chennai conducted the programme in Cursive Writing. It was helpful for the teachers and all the participants were given ‘WRITEWIZ’ practice note to complete the home work and it was also sent to the center after completion. Twenty teachers participated and benefitted by the programme.
The 5th Annual Sports day was celebrated with pomp on the Aug ’15. Sports day celebration gave much more enthusiasm and cheer in the ability Caliber and Sportman spirit of the pupil.
Children from various categories participated in many events. All the children are taken part in the march past in their respective houses. Their apperance in house uniform were of great appreciations. Those who participated and won prize were awarded with medals and certificates.
A two days Training, organized under the auspices of the CBSE, Delhi, for CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM for teachers of the CBSE Schools in and around Theni, was inaugurated on Sept.26,2015, by Justice Mr. CM Saravanan, Asst. Sessions Judge, Madurai, at Mary Matha Public School, Theni.
64 teachers from six CBSE Schools attend the Training Programme by the veteran trainers, Prof. V.R. Jayaprasad and Prof. David Abraham. The Training session was quite interesting and much interactive. The participants were much delighted that much light was showered on their understanding and application level of CBSE system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation in the Scholastic and Co-Scholastic Area by this training, of 2 days from 26th to 27th September 2015 .
The training has been meticulously planned to have greater awareness and professional ease for the teachers in processing the teaching – learning as an effective tool for the integral formation of the child, in view of his/er global responsibility.
Rev. Fr. Sebastian Elanjickal CMI, the Correspondent and Senior Principal of Mary Matha CMI Public School, presided over the function. Rev. Fr. Sinu M. Joseph, the Secretary of Mary Matha Educational and Charitable Society welcomed the gathering. The Principals of Fairlands a-Foundation School, Cumbum, Velammal Vidyalam , Theni, Achutha Academy School, Dindigul , participated in the training with a good number of teachers. Teachers from Kamavar Sangam Public School, Theni and Akshaya Academy CBSE School, Dindigul also attended the training.
